Reference QuenchProbe – For in-situ determination of cooling characteristics of quenchants under plant conditions
Features
Reference QuenchProbe is as yet the most advanced equipment for testing quenchants. It is a direct, single, dynamic, in-situ test for the cooling characteristics of a quenchant which is equivalent to several static tests in laboratories. The hardware is a unique design (patent pending) which makes the test easy and simple under plant conditions.

Reference QuenchProbe is a simple hand held unit made out of stainless steel, with the alloy steel specimen, temperature sensor and data logger integrated into one unit without any loose wires. The USB based data logger stores the time-temperature data during quenching, which can be downloaded to a PC for further processing.
The software combines non-linear inverse heat conduction with austenite decomposition on a finite element platform with excellent GUI
